TRAVELODGE HOTEL WORK AND WIDENS AREA OF OPERATION

Anglo Holt has widened its geographic area of operation for Travelodge taking in Torquay in the South and Edinburgh in the North in a spate of new contracts valued at £35 million for the UK’s leading budget hotel group.
The new work which includes Stratford upon Avon, Tunbridge Wells, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Stafford, Scarborough,
Devizes, Gloucester, Torquay and two in Edinburgh brings the number of completions and new instructions across Britain to 34 hotels in 20 counties.

Including five contracts in Midlands, work to date equates to bedrooms stretching over 10 Miles.
West Bromwich based construction firm Anglo Holt has won new contracts worth £35 million from Travelodge for eleven budget hotels of which five are located in the Midlands. The new business awards also see Anglo Holt dramatically widening its geographic area of operation for Travelodge taking in new sites in Torquay in the South and two sites in Edinburgh in the North.

The 32 week contract at IM Properties’ 400 acre Birch Coppice Business Park near Tamworth is the second of
two speculatively developed distribution units and follows on from Anglo Holt’s fulfilment of the £12 million
development of Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal at Birch Coppice. The state of the art container
freight terminal handles up to 12 train movements a day from Southampton and Thamesport docks and
now ranks alongside Hams Hall as a major regional logistics rail head.
